Jordan Heiderman survived opposition to punch his ticket to the Ultimate Fighter 30 heavyweight semi-finals.
In Episode 7’s featured bout, Heiderman (5-0) used the “sudden victory” period to blast away Chandler Cole (8-3)* with the ground and the pound. TUF 30 the fights are scheduled in two rounds, but the scorecards were tied after two, meaning fighters had five more minutes to compete.

Heiderman recovered, but had a lot of ground to make up on the second lap.
In the second round, Heiderman picked up the pace and found success with straight punches, although it was a hard-fought period and Cole’s trainer, Amanda Nunes, felt he had done enough to win. the fight. However, the judges scored the second round for Heiderman, leading to the fateful third.
Later, Team Nunes wondered if the fight should even have ended in a sudden victory. UFC President Dana White also said he felt Cole had done enough to win the first two rounds and the fight.
Regardless, Team Julianna Peña improved to 5-2 in the competition, with three of their heavyweights (Heiderman, Zac Pauga and Mohammed Usman) advancing to the next round. Eduardo Perez is the only heavyweight from Nunes to advance to the semifinals.
For the final opener flyweight bout of the season, Hannah Guy of Team Peña (4-1) battles Brogan Walker of Team Nunes (7-2).
