UFC News: Justin Gaethje names Francis Ngannou and Robert Whittaker as his top 2 favorite fighters to watch

Justin Gaethje has become one of the biggest fan favorites in the UFC due to his exciting fighting style. As a fan of the sport, Gaethje recently revealed his favorite fighters to watch.

In a video uploaded to the UFC’s YouTube channel, Gaethje named his top five fighters to watch. Francis Ngannou and Robert Whittaker were at the top of his list. The former lightweight title challenger revealed:

“My favorite fighters to watch as a fan… I mean, I love to watch – other than when he fought Derrick Lewis, but I definitely forgave him for that – so Francis Ngannou, number one. I love watching Robert Whittaker. “

Obviously, “The Highlight” has a soft spot for his fellow knockout specialists, as he named the reigning heavyweight champion his favorite. However, Gaethje did mention that the only time he got bored by Ngannou was when he faced Derrick Lewis at UFC 226.

To complete his roster, Gaethje revealed that he also enjoys watching former two-division champion Henry Cejudo, flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko and strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. Gaethje and Namajunas, of course, are close friends. They are both students of extraordinary trainer Trevor Wittman.

Justin Gaethje thinks Michael Chandler is afraid of hitting with him

Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler will face off in what should be a sure-fire battle between two of the UFC’s most explosive forwards. Gaethje thinks Chandler will try to fight him after he feels his punching power. In a recent interview with The Schmo, Gaethje said:

“The guy is coming to fight. He likes to fight as much as I do. Styles make matches, and it’s a stylistic match for fans. Someone is going to get knocked out – unless they turn into ab * tch and try to turn that into a wrestling match all the time. He speaks of timid souls who take a step back. He’s going to be a shy soul when he starts shooting for the legs because he doesn’t like power. That’s what I think.”

Lightweights Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler to meet at UFC 268 in November, multiple sources have said @bokamotoESPNThe contracts were not signed, but both sides agreed to the fight. The promotion targets Madison Square Garden on November 6 for the event.

Gaethje and Chandler both just lost in a lightweight title fight. ‘The Highlight’ was submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254 in 2020, while Chandler suffered a TKO loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 262 earlier this year.
