PFL and Twitter to bring real-time content to MMA fans

The Professional Fighters League will hit the cage this Friday for PFL 1 live on ESPN2 and ESPN + from Atlantic City. And they’ll be all over Twitter, too.

A partnership between the promotion and social media giant has been announced, which will allow fans to receive live content and highlights in real time.

The multi-faceted deal will allow those watching across the country a unique viewing experience with content curated by PFL fighters and other prominent personalities before, during and after the fights on Twitter via its new live events page.

Fans will also have the option to tune in live during the = -ins weigh-in fight and see their favorites like never before.

“Twitter and the PFL look forward to advancing the sport by providing a premium viewing experience to the 550 million MMA fans around the world,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “Our partnership with Twitter, the place where the MMA conversation thrives, will bring fans closer to the action by providing premium, real-time content to our global fan base.”

This partnership will provide premium access to PFL fighters training content from the regular season bubble, live PFL nighttime content, pre-fight walkouts, real-time highlights, post-event press conference and at The Round Up, which is a live stream where influencers will host a discussion with fans during commercial breaks.

Hashmoji for fans tweeting about the event will be available using #PFLMMA.

“We’re excited about our new collaboration with the Professional Fighters League,” said TJ Adeshola, head of US sports partnerships at Twitter. MMA fans on Twitter are very engaged,

and they’re looking for new, creative ways to experience combat content, right on time. The PFL offers an innovative product for the MMA community on Twitter – and we look forward to bringing this epic partnership to life. “

PFL 1 stars Anthony Pettis against Clay Collard in the main event as regular seasons begin in multiple weight classes and continue over the next several months.
