Jan Błachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira: UFC 267 date, fight time, TV channel and live stream

The UFC returns with its next major event on Saturday at Fight Island as UFC 267 takes place from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The organization is back in force, underlined by two championship fights.

The main event features Jan Blachowicz looking to defend his light heavyweight championship for the second time as he takes on No.1 and former 205-pound title challenger Glover Teixeira. In the main co-event, No.1-ranked Petr Yan and No.3-ranked Cory Sandhagen meet for the interim bantamweight title.

Blachowicz shocked the world at UFC 253 on Fight Island when he stopped Dominick Reyes in the second round to capture the light heavyweight strap Jon Jones left vacant. Then in his first title defense at UFC 259, Blachowicz once again turned the basket of apples upside down by dominating middleweight pivot Israel Adesanya.

For Teixeira, it was a remarkable return to the title race. After failing in his quest to topple Jones at UFC 172 in April 2014, Teixeira became a 5-4 pedestrian in his next nine fights. But, instead of quitting and giving up, the 41-year-old put on a remarkable run scoring five straight wins, including four by stoppage to earn another shot at becoming UFC champion.

Yan-Sandhagen performed under unusual circumstances. Yan won the vacant bantamweight strap at UFC 251, stopping Jose Aldo. The title reign did not last long. In his next fight against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 259, Yan was disqualified for throwing an illegal knee in a fight he was winning. A Sterling-Yan had been agreed for UFC 267. But Sterling was still having problems with neck surgery and had to retire. Wanting the card to have two titles up for grabs, the UFC made an interim championship fight and kept Yan in the position. The UFC took the Sandhagen route, although he lost a narrow split decision to former 135-pound titlist TJ Dillashaw in July.

Besides the two titles, UFC 267 has a loaded sub-map, so this is the one you don’t want to miss.
