cfu 278 is scheduled to take place on Saturday August 20, 2022 and the co-main event between Luke Rockhold and Paulo Costa has been a major talking point for many, including the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

The outspoken mma Champion is keeping a close eye on what’s happening in the division he currently reigns over, as a challenger for the 185-pound belt could be just around the corner.

Costa is currently ranked No. 6 in the middleweight division, and a Rockhold victory here could propel him into the top 10.

Israel Adesanya on Costa vs. Rockhold

PERTH, AUSTRALIA – DECEMBER 12: America’s top contender and former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold speaks during a press conference ahead of a practice session at UFC 221 on December 12, 2017 in Perth, Australia. (Photo by Will Russell/Getty Images)

Speaking on his YouTube channel (via MMANews), “The Last Stylebender” would explain how he thinks the contest is going to pan out.

He said, “Let’s bring the wine… I’d say Luke should down it.” Luke should start wrestling right away. Costa however, in the beginning, (is dangerous), and also his hips. I remember with Yoel (Romero), same thing.

“Yoel tried to knock Costa down and Costa got the hook, and he just whacked it, and they got back up and smiled at each other.

“Luke, if he can just fight it, tire it out, wear out those muscles…do what I did, bend his legs, set the leg kicks up a bit and start wrestling right away. Make him guess.

Adesanya would conclude by giving his official stance on when the fight would end, and that was quite surprising.

He noted: “Costa, I think just do what he does. Just bomb him. If he cuts him, he’ll probably drop Luke. Official pick…my brain goes to Luke, so I’ll put Luke on.

That’s quite the prediction of the defending 185-pound champion, as Rockhold enters the contest as an underdog.

Either way, we’re hoping for a fantastic performance from ‘The Count”s former rival. Michael Bispingand for Rockhold to prove he can still hang with the best fighters in the middleweight division!
