Fury vs Whyte results, live fight coverage

After 2.5 years of exclusive fight against Deontay Wilder, WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, gets a new test this afternoon (Saturday April 23, 2022) against fellow countryman and mandatory challenger, Dillian Whyte, inside the Wembley Stadium in London, England.

MMAmania.com will provide live coverage of the main event below, along with quick results for the main pay-per-view (PPV) card. the ESPN+ Main Map PPV (watch it here) begins at 2 p.m. ET, while Fury and Whyte will take their ring walks around 5 p.m. ET.

Whyte had a long and tumultuous road to this opportunity. In 2017, he won the WBC “silver” title with a decision over Robert Helenius. It should have guaranteed a world title, but WBC refused to give him one, even when he claimed his interim belt in 2019. He even ended up losing the title to Alexander Povetkin during the wait, but won it. recovered with a brutal knockout in their rematch.

Whoever wins here will almost certainly go on to challenge the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua 2 for undisputed heavyweight supremacy.

The undercard is… well, not good, and I’m not going to legitimize it with a piece of puff.
