Drake surely had his eye on the main event of UFC 272.
The hip-hop entertainer and pop culture icon has placed a $275,000 bet on Jorge Masvidal to defeat Colby Covington in Saturday night’s main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. That $275,000 disappeared, however, after Covington (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) won a convincing unanimous decision.
Although the odds received by Drake are unclear, according to Tipico Sports Book, Masvidal (35-16 MMA, 12-9 UFC) was a +255 underdog, while Covington was the -350 favorite. AT these probabilities, Drake would have won $701,250 had Masvidal pulled off the upset.

Covington entered UFC 272 following a championship loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC 268 last November. He lost the fight via unanimous decision. Masvidal is also coming off a loss to the champ. Masvidal last fought at UFC 261 and was knocked out by Usman.
Usman has beaten Covington and Masvidal twice each.
