Training six plus hours in the gym, sweating, grunting, and fighting might seem like some sort of boot camp hell for most people, but it is just another day in the office for Mirko Cro Cop. He makes it look easy in the ring, because he put in his time in hell. Cro Cop is a no-nonsense fighter and this is a no-nonsense DVD, no false pretenses, no glamour, and no interviews. You get to see the man at what he does to prepare for his fights, and that is to train hard and hone his skills and make his techniques deadly perfect.
First you see him run through his weight training routine; an intense circuit training routine which seems easy for Cro Cop at first until he is on his 5th lap around the exercises, then you see his will and heart takeover; the amount of dedication it truly takes to fight in Pride and K1 and to always stay on top like he has.
After this you see him warming up for MMA training. You see how it is a whole team effort with his training team warming up along side him, and Cro Cop as the team captain leading the way. From there its boxing and thai pad training, going from two different pad holders without any breaks, getting his accuracy just perfect to land that punch or deadly high kick which has become his signature. After all this you know Cro Cop is tired but he does not give an inch, throwing hard to the end. Then it is sparring time, training his wrestling and his kickboxing, stuffing takedowns, pummeling for underhooks, fighting out of the corner, and just out working his opponent and making them play his game.
You see what one-day of Cro Cop training is like, then you understand what it truly takes to become a champion, to be at the level he is and to make it look so easy in the ring and actually even have fun doing it. Before a sword can be lethal, it needs to go through the fires and be sharpened to deadly precision, that is what Cro Cop training is like, boot camp hell, but if you ask Cro Cop and it’s just another day in the office.
